Fundraising resilience is in an in-between moment. The fundamentals have not disappeared. Relationships matter. Trust matters. Understanding why people give matters. But the conditions surrounding those fundamentals are changing.

Major shifts in institutional giving, growing reliance on donor-advised funds, increased competition for donor attention, rapidly evolving technologies like AI, and continued disparities in who gets access are forcing nonprofit leaders to think differently about what fundraising resilience really means.

Drawing from her work with nonprofit CEOs, development professionals, students, and community-based organizations across the country, Rochelle Jerry, CFRM, CPGM, will explore what she is seeing in her line of work: what is changing, what still works, and what we can no longer afford to ignore.

By the end of this 90-minute webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Distinguish fundraising resilience from fundraising endurance by identifyingpractices that help organizations adapt, diversify, and evolve—rather than simply continue working  harder within existing systems.
  2. Identify key shifts affecting today’s fundraising environment, including changesin institutional giving, donor-advised funds, donor attention, technology and AI, andevolving donor expectations.
  3. Examine organizational dependence on grants and other concentrated revenuesources and identify opportunities to strengthen individual giving, campaigns, donor relationships, and other forms of philanthropic support.
  4. Move from identifying wealth to understanding how donors’motivations, experiences, values, and connections to mission can informcultivation and engagement.
  5. Recognize everyday people as philanthropists and reconsider assumptions that meaningful or sustainable fundraising must begin with high-net-worth donors or transformational gifts.
  6. Examine how access, trust, and professional opportunity affect fundraising, including who gets hired, who has access to philanthropic networks, whose expertise is trusted, and which organizations and communities receive donations.
  7. Identify one fundraising assumption, skipped step, or existing strategy and how to build a more resilient and sustainable fundraising program.

Participants will leave with a question that extends beyond any single fundraising trend: What future are we willing to fund and are our current fundraising practices helping us build it?
