The Question of Class (Fall 2006)

What is class-based power and why should nonprofits concern themselves with it? In the introductory article to this issue, the editors tackle the knotty questions of class, and examine how Americans in general—and nonprofits in particular—still participate in long-held notions of American class mobility while failing to completely understand the close links between class, power, and the issues that challenge them.
